The Coffee Macros app has no sign-in, no user profiles, and collects no name, email address, or other contact information. Every screen is usable immediately. Using the app never requires the website waitlist described below, and joining the waitlist creates no account.
Saved recipes and custom builds are stored locally in the app. Coffee Macros does not sync them to its servers. Remove a save in the app to remove it from the current saved list. Device or system backups may include the app data; backup copies are controlled by your device and backup settings.
In build 2, optional app analytics stays off until you choose Allow analytics. Not now or dismissing the prompt keeps analytics off, and the app works either way. Your choice is remembered on this device. In You → Privacy, turn Allow analytics off to stop new collection and remove queued analytics, or turn it on to allow collection again. Cancellation of requests already in flight is best effort; data already sent cannot be recalled.
When collection is on, the app uses PostHog, in anonymous-only mode, to count product interactions (which screens are viewed, which buttons are tapped) so we can tell whether the app is useful. Events are attached to a random identifier the PostHog SDK generates on this device — not your Apple ID, not an account (there are no accounts), and not your device's advertising or vendor identifier. We create no person profiles and supply no identity of our own. The SDK also sends app and device context, such as app version/build, operating-system version, device model and language, alongside the event.
PostHog also derives an approximate, network-level location from your connection at the moment each event is sent — country, region, city, postal code, timezone, and a rough accuracy radius — before your raw IP address is discarded; the IP itself is never stored with your events. This is coarse geography (roughly which city or metro area, not a street address): your exact coordinates (latitude and longitude) are never retained, and no precise location is ever collected. It's used only in aggregate, to see which regions use the app — never to identify you.
This is reported as Device ID + Product Interaction data, and approximate (Coarse) Location, used for Analytics, not linked to your identity, and not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. The app collects no name, email, precise location, or user content. There is no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDK of any kind for advertising or tracking across other companies.
When you share a recipe, the link includes a fixed marker
(?src=app_share) that only indicates the link came from
inside the app — it does not identify you or your device, and it never
changes per share. This site's host processes request information such as
IP address, user agent, request time and page address to deliver and protect
the service. These requests do not create a Coffee Macros account.
For custom builds, the app can share an image of the drink and its order. The website shares or copies the custom order as text. These use your device's share choices or clipboard; the recipient or service you choose receives the content. Recipe links open the selected published size/version.
The app and website request drink catalog data and images from Supabase. Supabase and Cloudflare process network request metadata such as IP address, user agent and request time to deliver and protect these services. This does not create a Coffee Macros account or upload your saved builds.
When you search or filter on the Drinks page, your search text and the
filters you choose become part of that page's address (for example,
/drinks?q=latte), so a results page can be linked, bookmarked,
and reopened. Like any page address, it is sent with the page request to
this website's host, Cloudflare, and the website sends the search text to
its catalog database, hosted by Supabase, to find matching drinks. The
website's own code does not store your searches, and there are no
accounts to connect them to. As noted under "Shared links", the host may
log basic request information, which can include the page address.
Cloudflare Web Analytics, described below, reports page views for these
pages as for any other. Please don't type personal information into the
search field.
This website's host, Cloudflare, runs Cloudflare Web Analytics on these pages. A small script from Cloudflare loads with each page and reports the page view to Cloudflare, so we can see overall traffic, such as which pages are viewed. Website PostHog analytics is optional. We send no PostHog events until you choose Allow analytics. Decline keeps the website fully usable. We remember your choice in this browser so you are not asked again; use Analytics preferences to turn collection off or allow it later. Turning it off stops further events and cancels pending requests; it does not undo events already sent to PostHog. Your consent preference stays in local storage with no automatic expiry, until you change it or clear browser data. Allowed events use a random per-page-load identifier kept in memory for that page load, catalog identifiers and the page path, with explicit production/development tags. No SDK, autocapture, session replay or person profiles are used. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track also prevent PostHog collection. Your email address and anything else you type into the waitlist form are never put into a page address and are never sent to us for analytics.
PostHog processes these optional events to help us understand usage and improve Coffee Macros. It derives approximate location from your IP address before discarding the raw IP, as described under App analytics above. Server-side events follow the PostHog plan's retention and deletion mechanisms; see Choices, retention and deletion.
The website remembers which help tips you have seen or skipped in this browser. These preferences stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
Saved recipes and custom drinks, including their displayed nutrition, photos, names and order text, stay in this browser's local storage. They are not synchronized to Coffee Macros servers. Use the drink's Save control to remove a saved version, or clear this website's browser data to remove all browser saves and help preferences. Device/browser backup or synchronization settings may affect local data.
This website offers an optional waitlist. If you join it, we collect only the email address you type in, so we can send you Coffee Macros beta and launch updates by email. Nothing else is required — no name, phone number, account, or survey.
Your email address is sent to and stored by Loops (loops.so), the email service that processes waitlist signups and delivers those updates on our behalf. It is not used for anything else, and it is never sent to or combined with analytics — the app's or the website's.
When you submit the waitlist form, you subscribe to Coffee Macros beta and launch updates by email. No confirmation email is required. Every marketing update we send includes an unsubscribe link; you can leave the list at any time, and you can also ask us to delete your address at the contact below.
If you voluntarily email [email protected], your email address and the message and attachments you send are used to answer your request. Please do not send sensitive information unless it is necessary for help.
You can remove local app saves, remove browser saves or clear browser data, and unsubscribe from waitlist emails. Contact [email protected] to request deletion of waitlist or support information. Local saves remain until removed or the relevant app/browser data is cleared; system backups may retain copies under your backup settings.
Server-side retention depends on the type of information and the service processing it. Analytics follows the PostHog plan's retention and deletion mechanisms; catalog and image request logs follow Supabase and Cloudflare logging settings. Waitlist contact records and subscription preferences are stored in Loops; unsubscribing stops marketing updates but does not itself delete the contact record. Support correspondence remains in the support mailbox. Retention considerations include providing the requested service or support, honoring subscription choices and deletion requests, security and troubleshooting, and applicable legal obligations. We do not promise a fixed deletion deadline or that unsubscribe erases all records.
Older build 1 has no in-app analytics consent or opt-out control and starts app analytics automatically. Build 2 provides the choices described above. Website PostHog collection starts only after your browser consent. For questions about analytics deletion or choices, contact us; random analytics identifiers are not connected to a Coffee Macros account, so an email address alone may not identify specific events.
PostHog processes app analytics; Supabase hosts the catalog and images; Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and provides website traffic analytics; Loops processes waitlist subscriptions and update emails. Their privacy information is available at PostHog, Supabase, Cloudflare and Loops.
Coffee Macros is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
